Climbing Mont Blanc 4810m

Chamonix is dominated by the white majestic dome of Mont Blanc, at 4810m the highest mountain in western Europe.

Every year the summit of the Mont Blanc becomes the ultimate objective for mountaineers of the world. The success depends on preparation as well as on acclimatization. For this reason, we organise a five days trip in order to prepare the group for the altitude.

Day 1: Practicing walking with crampons and using ice axe on the Mer de Glace.
Day 2: Walking several hours to refuge in altitude (night in the refuge).
Day 3: Climbing a summit around 3200m.
Day 4: Walking to Cosmique refuge, Gouter refuge or Tête Rousse.
Day 5: Climbing Mont Blanc and return to Chamonix.

While not technically challenging, ascending Mont Blanc requires a high level of physical fitness. Five days are enough if you undertake to climb Mont Blanc. We recommend to train at least for two months before to come to Chamonix.

Because our guides have no effect on the weather condition... they will suggest to climb another 4000m Alps summit if objectively there is no any chance to succeed with Mont Blanc due to dangerous conditions and bad weather.
