Cogne Valley is in the center of Grand Paradiso Natural Park next to Aosta. The town become during winter paradis for ice climber and backcountryskiing! You can get information at the Café "Licorne" inside the "carnet de course".

The right Valley is Valnontey. The right bank of Valnontey is the most interesting ice climbing: Sentinelle Ice at 10 min from the village, Patri, Repentance Super, Monday Money for the most famous. Thoule left bank is good way to get the hang of it especially if you stay at the hotel la Barme.

The second valley is Valeille. The most famous is climbing is Lillaz Gully 5-10 min from the center. The descent by walk is very convinient. Then is necessery to walk about forty minute to reach Chandelle Levure, Pattinaggio Artistico, Stella Artice a must! and for fan of long routes you should croos swords with cold couloir.

The convivial place make that cogne is really pperfect to combine ice climbing and holidays in the beautiful landscape scenery.
